Liparis lilifolia
The name Liparis comes from the Greek
for "greasy" or "shining," in reference to the smooth,
shiny leaves. There are two species found in Wisconsin, out of four species
native to the United States.
- Lip of flower greater than 5 mm, deep purplish...lilifolia
- Lip of flower less than 5 mm, green or greenish yellow...loeselii
